Gas flare for safe system operation in alpine regions

The IDA Merano high-performance wastewater treatment plant in South Tyrol has commissioned a new FAII1000v gas flare from Bilgeri Environtec. The plant treats industrial wastewater from 15 municipalities and uses modern anaerobic technologies that enable high purification performance with low energy consumption. A central component of the plant is biogas production to generate electricity – the aim is to achieve energy self-sufficiency.

Trace heating protects against frost and condensation

The installed FAII 1000v ensures the safe and low-emission utilization of the sewage gas produced. The gas flares in the FAII series are characterized by fully automatic control, stable combustion and low emissions. Continuous flame monitoring and the robust, durable design ensure high operational reliability even under demanding conditions.
The optional trace heating, which protects gas pipes and fittings from frost and H₂S-contaminated condensate, is particularly important in the Alpine region. This keeps the gas constantly flowing and the system can be operated reliably – even at low outside temperatures.

Conclusion:

With the new FAII1000v, Bilgeri Environtec is contributing to safe gas utilization and the stability of wastewater treatment plant operation in the region.
